Elaine, even though these talk shows are claiming they aren't using WGA Writers aren't the Hosts members of SAG-AFTRA? Aren't they violating their actors Guild?

Ah, sorry if I should've been clearer — talk show hosts are covered under NetCode, which is a separate agreement, i.e. not struck work. Which is why they're returning without writers, who *are* currently on strike

Elaine, thank you. Yes you were very clear. I got so caught up in my question I just glossed over your answer. So sorry for my rookie mistake. I really enjoy your work. Vince

In her piece it’s explained how it’s not the current struck contract: “As many of us learned last week, talk show hosts are generally covered under SAG-AFTRA’s Network Television Code contract, a separate agreement from the guild’s TV and theatrical contract currently the center of the performers’ strike.” The netcode contract can be found on SAG’s site. Glad they’re pausing the WGA covered shows, to show solidarity.

Yes thank you Janie. As I just replied to Elaine, I got so caught up in my question I really didn't absorb her answer. My bad and not being a business affairs minded guy, my rookie mistake. And I too am glad they are pausing in solidarity. Thanks again, Vince
